Bob Martin
Qigong Master
We’re delighted to welcome Bob Martin back to Nourish & Flow for his second year.
Bob is a Qigong instructor with over 10 years’ teaching experience, alongside a 25-year career in healthcare spanning disability services and clinical engineering. His approach is calm, grounded, and deeply influenced by the natural world.
He lives on a mountainside near Kenmare with his wife, dog, four cats, horses, and donkeys, overlooking the ocean, a landscape that gently shapes the way he teaches, encouraging a slower, more connected way of being.
Since Covid, Bob has moved away from formal classes and now offers free, community-based Qigong, creating space for people to step away from the busyness of everyday life and return to something quieter and more restorative.
Last year, Bob’s session in the fields of Ballykilcavan was a truly special moment of the weekend. Under warm sunshine, standing barefoot on the soft grass, guests were invited to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with their bodies through gentle movement. It was simple, grounding, and unexpectedly powerful.
We’re so glad to have him back again this year, bringing that same sense of calm, connection, and ease.
At the heart of his work is a simple but powerful belief:
“We are an insignificant life-form on a rock in space. If we don’t help each other, who will?”
