Bob Martin

Qigong Master

Bob Martin is a Qigong instructor with over 10 years’ teaching experience, alongside a 25-year career in healthcare spanning disability services and clinical engineering.

He lives on a mountainside near Kenmare with his wife, dog, four cats, horses and donkeys, overlooking the ocean, a landscape that deeply informs his calm, nature-led approach to movement and wellbeing.

Since Covid, Bob has shifted from formal classes to offering free, community-based Qigong practice, making gentle movement, stillness, and peace accessible to anyone who needs a quiet hour away from the stresses of everyday life.

Last year, Bob facilitated an amazing Qigong workshop in the beautiful, sun-filled fields of Ballykilcavan, where participants were invited to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and experience the restorative power of Qigong in nature.

At the heart of his work is a simple yet powerful belief:

“We are an insignificant life-form on a rock in space. If we don’t help each other, who will?”

“Attending Nourish and Flow last year was the best gift I gave myself. From the moment I arrived I felt the stresses and to do lists evaporate as I stepped into a place of beauty, tranquility, a space for me to let go for a weekend and breathe. I felt fully taken care of. Everything you could wish for from a luxurious glamping festival. The only downside is it comes to an end”
